Bench-mount straight die grinders include a mounting base with an articulating arm that holds the grinder perpendicular to workpieces to make straight, square, and level grinds for precision die maintenance and repair. The arm allows the operator to guide the grinder along workpieces to remove welds and smooth rough edges more quickly and with greater accuracy than traditional hand grinding. The mounting base supports the arm and is magnetic to attach to a metal die, mold, or work table. Straight die grinders set their grinding head in line with the tool body and have a slim profile to reach through openings where an angled head may not fit. This alignment makes it easier to apply pressure to the grinding head for greater control with detailed work.
