They also have a thread guard that stops debris from getting inside the caster and damaging or contaminating it. The casters' Delrin wheel bearings are self-lubricating, which means they do not require regular maintenance to keep the bearings lubricated. These casters can be mounted to racks, carts, and other equipment that will be used in dirty environments or areas that are frequently washed down, such as laundry rooms, textile factories, food-service facilities, restaurants, offices, government buildings, and schools.
