These overalls protect workers from hazardous dry particulates and light-chemical splash and spray. Dry particulates are larger in size than aerosols and include dust and dirt. Garments that provide light-chemical splash and spray resistance protect against inorganic acids, bases, and salts and are worn when cleaning tanks or hazardous waste cleanup when liquid jet streams are encountered. Overalls (sometimes called bib overalls) are sleeveless garments that cover the torso and legs.
