Parker 471 bulk hydraulic hoses are used in general purpose industrial and hydraulic applications with petroleum-based fluids and lubricating oils. They have a 1/2 SAE bend radius, which reduces the amount of force needed to flex the hose and can help reduce the effort required to install the hose. The hoses have a synthetic rubber tube and an abrasion-resistant synthetic rubber cover. They are reinforced with two steel braids. They are stronger and can withstand more pressure than hoses that are reinforced with one steel braid. Parker 471 hydraulic hoses are compatible with Parker 43 series crimpable fittings.

Bulk hydraulic hoses can be cut to a desired length, and compatible hose fittings can be attached to the ends of the hoses to create custom hydraulic hose assemblies that can be connected to equipment.
