Product Description
These high-speed steel chucking reamers come in standard sizes expressed in fractional inches. Fractional inch is the most common trade size used for chucking reamers. Right-hand spiral-flute reamers pull chips out of a hole as they enlarge it to an exact size for a precise fit when installing fasteners or other parts. This prevents damage to the reamer and the workpiece. They are used for reaming blind holes and are suitable for applications with interrupted cuts, such as keyways. Spiral-flute reamers leave a smoother finish on the hole than straight-flute reamers. These chucking reamers are made from high-speed steel and have a bright finish that is unaffected when their cutting edges are resharpened. The reamers' straight shank mounts to the chuck of a drill press or similar machining tool.
