Product Description
Medium-duty kingpinless plate casters have zinc-plated steel frames. They are installed onto the bottom of carts and other equipment used in pushed and light-towing industrial applications such as assembly lines, industrial carts and trucks, metal fabrication, and waste- and scrap-disposal carts.
Impact-resistant kingpinless plate casters do not use a kingpin to hold the caster together. They distribute weight more evenly, roll more smoothly, tolerate higher speeds, and have better resistance to impacts and shock forces than standard plate casters that are held together with kingpins. The casters' mounting plate attaches to the bottom of machinery, carts, or other equipment. The caseters allow the equipment to roll, which reduces effort when moving or repositioning it. Kingpinless plate casters are available in swivel and rigid versions. Swivel casters can rotate 360°, allowing equipment to change directions while rolling. Rigid casters roll in a straight line. Two rigid casters will often be paired with two swivel casters to allow the equipment to both maneuver around curves and obstacles and maintain a straight course while rolling. Kingpinless plate casters are used in aggressive applications where they will encounter shock forces and heavy loads or be moving at high speeds.
