Standard AC hydraulic power units provide power to industrial machinery such as lathes, injection molding machinery, presses, and heavy lifting equipment. They are floorstanding and have a larger tank than compact units, enabling them to power larger systems. The steel reservoir is nonporous and can be used in rugged conditions. 

AC hydraulic power units (HPUs) connect to an electrical power source to power industrial tools and equipment such as automobile lifts, elevators, lift tables, and other equipment that is primarily stationary. Sometimes called hydraulic power packs, these units pressurize hydraulic oil to power systems and pumps. AC hydraulic power units generally have a larger capacity and are more powerful than DC hydraulic power units, which are battery-powered. AC HPUs provide higher amounts of force than traditional electrical and mechanical systems, allowing them to lift and move heavier loads in a smaller footprint. They also provide precise movement and speed control over a wide range of speeds and load weights.
