Designed to withstand constant submersion in water up to 1m for 30 min., these MOTOROLA Talkabout™ T-2600 H2O series portable two way radios can repel heavy rain. Models float in water and have a water-activated flashlight to ease retrieval (radios float with included NiMH battery, but may not float when used with some AA batteries). The Push-To-Talk (PTT) power boost feature allows you to extend the transmission range by increasing the transmitter power output, yet it saves battery life when no power boost is needed. Radios have a hands-free feature that allows you to use your radios like a speakerphone, and you can hear real-time weather conditions on one of 11 weather channels (NOAA radio service may not be available in all areas). Design allows you to easily communicate with other FRS/GMRS radios (on the same channel and privacy code). Models have a scanning feature that allows you to view channels currently in use. A low battery alert lets you know when the batteries are running low, and a keypad lock helps prevent your personal settings from being accidentally changed.
