This fiber disc is engineered to slice through carbon steel with precision-shaped, triangular grain. The grain features peaks designed to slice through metal and continuously shelf-sharpen as the points break off, which helps to reduce friction, extend life, and minimize operator fatigue. Use in high-pressure grinding applications such as medium to heavy-duty stock removal. The fiber disc is well-suited for edge chamfering, machining grooves, beveling, and removing carbon steel welds, mill scale, pits, and imperfections. It is also recommended for blending large and small areas of metal surfaces. It features a tough, stiff backing made from vulcanized fiber designed to resist wear and handle tough grinding applications.
