These submersible deep-well pump and motor control boxes are wall-mounted boxes with relays, switches, and breakers for controlling the start and stop cycling of submersible deep-well pumps and attached alarms. They use wiring to connect to the pump and allow for automatic or manual pump operation depending on the application. Control boxes are recommended for water systems that utilize a pressure switch and safety relief valve. Capacitor-start, induction-run (CSIR) control boxes are quick-disconnect relay-type boxes with a start capacitor, but no run capacitor. Capacitor-start, capacitor-run (CSCR) control boxes have both a start capacitor and a run capacitor for greater electrical efficiency and long pump life. Deluxe CSCR models come with a magnetic contactor.
