Product Description

Fully threaded arc-weld studs are suitable for fastening applications where threads are needed for the full fastener length. They have a short base section that is melted off during the welding process, helping ensure usable threads extend to the top of the installed studs.

Arc-weld threaded studs are fasteners that create a permanent male thread using a drawn arc welding process. Also known as ring weld studs or drawn-arc weld studs, this type of weld melts both the base of the fastener and an area of the workpiece, forming a strong joint that can withstand vibration, water, oil, air, and gas leaks. These studs are typically used for large-diameter fasteners and on thick base materials where a tight seal is needed at the weld point.
