These ANSI Level-5 heat-resistant mechanics-style gloves have a Kevlar palm. Kevlar is a lightweight and heat-resistant fabric with excellent durability and cut protection. ANSI heat level 5 is designed for use at high temperatures and with hot surfaces. Heat level indicates the maximum temperature that gloves can be used when handling hot objects before the worker will begin to feel a burn. Heat level and burn time are affected by object temperature and weight and length of time the object is held. A2 cut-level gloves protect hands from light cut hazards such as handling plastic, thin sheet metal, and other light raw materials. Mechanics-style gloves have good dexterity and protect hands from dirt, grime, scrapes, and blisters. They are often worn when performing basic tasks in general maintenance and repair operations.
