Brass lock body padlocks resist corrosion, so they can be used both indoors and outdoors to restrict access to property. They have solid bodies, which are more secure than laminated bodies because they don't have exposed rivets that can be tampered with, but they're not as resistant to smashing as solid steel lock body padlocks.
