Extra-high-torque farm-duty AC motors have up to 400% starting torque for extremely hard-starting applications and can start under full-load conditions in powering conveyors, silo unloaders, barn cleaners, compressors, and manure pumps. Motors have enclosures that help protect them from moisture, but they are not airtight or waterproof.
