Product Description

Plug-in portable GFCI bodies with manual reset are electrical devices used between a power source and an electrical device to help prevent electrical shock from water and other hazards. They require the user to reset the GFCI after a power outage by pushing the reset button to restore power to the connected equipment. They are typically used in industrial or construction applications where a sudden resumption in power could be dangerous if equipment starts back up unexpectedly, such as power drills, saws, and grinders. They plug directly into a wall outlet and have one or more receptacles that devices plug into.

General purpose portable ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) bodies and cords are electrical devices used with power cords that help protect users from ground faults. They have an integrated circuit breaker that turns off the power when a current overload is detected, helping protect users from electrical burns, shock, or electrocution. They are commonly used in temporary power applications to provide protection where electrical circuits may come in contact with water, such as in garages or outdoors, and a standard GFCI receptacle is not available. Plug-in GFCIs plug directly into a wall outlet and have one or more receptacles that devices plug into. Inline GFCIs are lengths of cord with an outlet plug at one end and one more receptacles at the other end that devices plug into.
