Frame-mount (sometimes called skid mounted) gas-powered hydraulic units can be mounted to trucks, trailers, or machinery beds. They are used to power winches and other hydraulic machinery. 

Gasoline-powered hydraulic power units deliver power to hydraulic chain saws, log splitters, and other mobile tools where access to electrical power is unavailable. Sometimes called engine-driven power packs, gas-power hydraulic power units provide higher flow rates than DC hydraulic power units. They provide higher amounts of force than traditional electrical and mechanical systems, allowing hydraulic power units to lift and move heavier loads in a smaller footprint. They also provide precise movement and speed control over a wide range of speeds and load weights.
